Dr. Paul Jacobs is keynote speaker for the 99th Annual Awards Banquet of the Radio Club of America.

 

Jacobs is the CEO of QUALCOMM and is also a member of the Company’s board of directors.  Dr. Jacobs has been the primary driver of QUALCOMM’s focus on enabling wireless data services.

 

Jacobs also received the Sarnoff Citation for his contributions to the advancement of electronic communications. He has been instrumental in the development of CDMA and VoIP. 

Brian Williams, Anchor of NBC Nightly News, was also awarded the Sarnoff Citation for his achievements in the world of communications.
Michael W. Hunter received the Fred M. Link Award; Joe Vestal received the Lee de Forest Award; Barry M. Farber received the Jack Poppele Broadcast Award; Jerry B. Minter received the Ralph Batcher Memorial Award; Gilbert R. Houck received the Special Recognition Award; Eric D. Stoll Ph.D received the Special Recognition Award; and Ronald Jakubowski received the President’s Award.

The third annual NPSTC's Richard DeMello Award for Public Safety was presented to Charles L. Werner, for demonstrating the highest levels of personal and professional conduct and performance in the local, state and national public-safety communications arena.
